Fullness In Kidney, Delievered Baby, Same Problem Persists. What Are Treatment Options?

Hi i had a baby and he is now 1 month old when i was in my 9month of pregnancy mild fulness in both kidneys was detected and we he born we did also screenig for him fullnes was still found and urologist said that the test was okay and its nt serious problem it will disappear after some time but still iam worried i want to know more about this problem and what will be the treatment if we reapet the screening and we know that the fullness is still found ?

Hello,
The pre delivery scans report shows the fullness of the kidney. That means stagnation of urine in the pelvis part of the kidney. This is also called as hydronephrosis. This is either due to blockade outflow or reflux backward. This is commonly found in the routine antenatal scan. Usually it disappears sometime after birth.
Moreover the degree of fullness is to be taken into account - mild, moderate, severe. Even if severe nothing to worry, It can be tackled easily and prognosis is good.
As your Dr suggested, wait for some more days, it will regress (commonly regresses)
