Gallbladder Removed, Intense Pain While Drinking Alcohol, Liver Enzymes High
had gallbladder removal in 2004. Ever since then when I drink alcohol i have intense pains in the upper abdomen, lasts from 20 mins to hours. Has even happened when I was not drinking but had just eaten. Iv had several er trips but no results except liver enzymes were really high once

These are symptoms of acid peptic disease.The pain after taking alcohol may be due to acute gastritis induced by alcohol.You should reduce the quantity of tea,chilly and alcohol etc. In the mean time you should take antacid and P.P.I .If it does not work then you are required to undergo Upper gastrointestinal tract Endoscopy to rule out any peptic ulcer.
