Getting Irregular Periods With Cramps After Stopping Depo. How Long Will It Be Unpredictable?
i stopped my depo october last year. ive got my menses end of may.didnt get it for the month of june. n in july 3 times already. as of august 8 it has stopped completely i get the cramps but didnt get my period. hw long is it gona be unpredictable YYYY@YYYY
Depot shot contains DMPA and is very effective birth control method, taken every 3 months. Chance of pregnancy is very low more likely less than 1% per year.
If you are currently sexually active, then you must undergo one home pregnancy test to clear doubt.
Another thing, it also has several side effects like irregular vaginal bleeding for first 6 to 12 months, late period, sore breasts, change in appetite or wt gain etc.
You may get period soon or within 7-10 days. If not, then I suggest to consult with doctor to induce period with hormonal pill.
Always consult with your doctor if serious problem persists.
Be well and take care. Good luck.
