Given Prevenar To Infant, Suggested To Give Synflorix. Is This Okay? What Should I Do?

Hi, my baby was given Prevenar at age 6 months and his paediatrician left for a 2 month holiday. Since then another doctor has given him Synflorix at 7-half months and suggested I take him for booster at 15 months for Synflorix. Is this okay? What should I do?

It's better to stick to the same brand of vaccine as its uptake is better. Synflorix another 3 more strains of pneumococcus than Prevenar 13 plus has non typable vHiB cover. So you could stick to Prevenar 13. Or go for Synflorix if cost is not a issue
