Given Single Dose Of Zithromax For Chylamdia, Pain Seen In Groin On Right Side, Frequent Urination. Any Thoughts ?
Three weeks ago I was given the single dose of Zithromax having tested positive for chylamdia, the symptoms improved very quickly..on Sunday I had a pain in my groin on the right side, Monday I started to feel the need to urinate frequently, Tuesday I visited my GP and a urine sample was negative for a UTI, I'm still having the urge to urinate frequently.....any thoughts please
Do you have urethral discharge? Pus cells coming from the urethral meatus? Hiw about your testicles is it swollen? Usually when we treat for chlamydia we also treat for gonorrhea by giving intramuscular ceftriaxone 250mg.
The pain in the groin could be beginning inflammation of the testis or termed orchitis. You may need additional antimicrobials like ciprofloxacin. I suggest consult with your local Urologist to have a proper physical examination and appropriate prescription.
I hope i have answered your question.
