Giving Calcium Stool Softener. Had Prolia Injection, Osteoporosis, Kyphosis. What Is The Required Calcium Level For This Patient?

My mom is at a nursing home where they are giving her calcium stool softener. ID on pill is CG 421, it is round and white. Is this enough calcium for someone who has had prolia injection d/t severe osteoporosis and kyphosis. As a nurse it is my understanding thatnatnleast 1200 mg of calcium should be taken daily to prevent low blood calcium.

Hi, i know that you will be anxious about your mother, but allow the doctors to do their work, they are giving a stool softener with calcium, they will be supplimenting calcium in different form.
So dont worry about your mother, she will be fine. Give her calcium rich foods like banana, other fruits, green leafyvegetables, fish etc.
Thank you.
