Glossopalatine Arch Swollen And Red, Hurts If I Drink Anything Cold, Pain Spread To Ear And Eye. Suggestion?
Yesterday I was yawning and felt a sharp pain in the back of my mouth. Now today I found that my glossopalatine arch on my right side is very red and looks a little swollen. If I drink anything cold it is very painful when swallowing but doesn't hurt if I drink hot drinks or eat hot food. Sometimes the pain is so intense that it radiates through to my ear and behind my right eye and it is a very sharp pain.
I haven't tried doing anything yet to treat it as I didn't want to aggravate it with anything before getting advice.
