My name is Peter and I am 57yrs. I have a pace maker and defibrillator fitted and am undergoing ablation surgery next week, to remove scar tissue from the outside of the heart.I had some removed internally last year
My chest x rays show clear lungs but also bilateral apical pleural thickening. I am neither a smoker nor a drinker, am not overweight and reasonably fit.
Is this condition age related in my case or should I be receiving further medical investigations?
