Got Implanon Implanted, Nauseous, Migraines, Numbing In Legs, Taking Suboxone. Any Side Effects?

I got implanon implanted into my arm about six months ago, and since about a couple of weeks to a month after that, I get nauseous , migraines, and shaking of my hands on a daily basis. I also have occasional numbing in my legs. I am also taking suboxone right now, 2 mg twice a day. My question is are these side effects because of the implanon itself or does the suboxone have a bad reaction with the implanon?? And I would also like to know how common is it for woman who get implanon to see the side effects?

Hello
Welcome to HCM

You have implanted implanon about six months back and after few weeks of this you have started getting headaches, nausea, tremors and other neurological symptoms on daily basis. Implanon is a good contraceptive with very less side effects but in some susceptible individuals it can cause aggravation of headaches. The symptoms you are having are most likely occurring due to implanon only. You have been taking suboxone 4 mg per day also. Suboxone have some interactions with implanon but these are not so severe to cause headache. Consult your doctor again for side effects related to implanon.

Thanks
