Got Punched On Nose. Nose Bleed And Cut On The Bridge. Nose Swollen Headache And Experienced Vertigo
Hello - I got punched in the nose in which it bled and have a cut on the bridge. This happened Saturday evening ... No obvious deformity - swelling to the nose but no obvious bruising . I have had random nose bleeds and clear liquid dripping from my nose
Since this blow - I have found it very hard to stay awake , concentrate, falling asleep in random places. Irritable and a very bad headache that is causing my ears to even hurt . Ive also experienced vertigo for the first time . I've taken pain killers ... Anything I should be worried about?
I am Dr Sriram nathan, an ENT surgeon and I shall try to help you out with your problem. Since you have injured your nose then it is imperative that you do these: 1. Start on an anti inflammatory medication in consultation with your doctor 2. Take also a course of anti histamine in consultation with your doctor 3. Get a CT of the nose and sinuses and get back to me or any other ENT surgeon with the report 4. Do not touch the area and do not try to meddle with your nose 5. Take steam inhalation at least three times in a day to reduce the congestion
hope this helps and you get better
take care
regards
Dr Sriram Nathan
