Got Slapped On Ears. Have Ringing And Popping. Swollen And Yellow Discharge From Ears. Remedy?
Hi I'm 15 year old boy I'm live in Santa Maria California on a Friday night my brother slapped me hard In my ears cause I refused to give him my phone right now it's Monday may 20 2013 and I here ringing and popping in my ears my ears are swollen bad and are spewing out with a yello like substance that dries in my ear and gets all crusty please I can't stop the ringing will this go away
You may have suffered a traumatic rupture of your ear drum; in that case if there is any infection it could also result in ear discharge. The ringing sensation could be just because of the discharge or also could be inner ear issues. Firstly, avoid any fluids from entering the ear including water. Secondly, visit an ENT specialist so that he could conduct a thorough examination. Do not worry, majority of non infected trauma to the ear drum can heal fast.
I read your query regarding ringing and popping along with swelling of your ear, all these develop after getting slapped by your brother.
Your symptoms are indicating towards perforation of ear drum and infection of middle ear. Therefore it is my suggestion to please consult ENT doctor for proper cleaning of ear and relevent conservative treatment for this problem.
Here I would like to tell you that ear drum has got tremendous power of healing therefore if you will take proper treatment under care of an specialist, you may be saved from surgery. On the other hand as soon as perforation become older chances of spontaneous healing will fade out.
Till you are in waiting for specialist you may do-
1- Keep ear clean and dry.
2- Don't put oil or any ear drop (untill it is adviced by your doctor ).
