Grabbing Pain Around The Stomach, Had Lung Cancer, Finished Chemotherapy. What Is The Problem?

My fiance had lung cancer and finished with chemo . He is doing well with that but he has a pain in his torso area that originated in the neck and moves around his torso. He says it is like a grabbing pain. He says it is very painful. Can you help. He was in the hospital for 3 days and they couldn t find the problem. They thought it may be inflammation on his back.
