Granular Vaginal Discharge, Tender Skin, No Itching, Little Odor. Any Suggestions?
several days ago, I noticed white spots on the vulva . They were easily wiped/washed away. I have been getting more but not as many as several days ago. Today I noticed a granular discharge from the vagina . The skin is tender but not extremely sore. No itching. Some odor but really very little. I have had yeast infections previously but this is a little different. Any suggestions?
The description of your discharge seems to be a fungal discharge. However, I am surprised to note that there is no itching. Fungal or Trichomonal discharge cause immense itching. The discharge description does not fit in to any other category, but the fungal infection.
The fungal infection of vagina can be treated by local antifungal vaginal pessaries. Along with the use of some Lactobacilli wash like Lactacyd will help more. This infection can be transmitted sexually also. Hence, the treatment should ne taken by both the partners simultaneously to prevent recurrence.
Please report to your Gynaecologist.
Both of you, please follow these instructions:
1. Remove all the hair from the private parts. 2. Clip the nails short. 3. Boil underwear daily. 4. Use Panty liners (for you) 5. Observe complete sexual abstinence till both of you are declared completely cured.
I hope this helps you.
