While GA is often an isolated condition, it is sometimes associated with other underlying disorders, such as infectious mononucleosis, autoimmune illnesses (thyroiditis, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, etc.) and certain malignancies (e.g., Hodgkin s lymphoma) -- all of which can cause lymph node enlargement.
