Groin Area Pain, Urination In Dark Color, Burning Sensation. What Should I Do?
Im 22 years old male, and ive been experiencing slight pains in my groin area. and on rare occasions i urinate a dark color similar to a beer color. ive noticed that more often than not when i masturbate a bit more than needed it seems to be more prominent. i drink lots of water and also have recently stopped smoking in an effort to become more healthy. There isnt a burning pain just a slight discomfort. What should i do. I have an appointment but id like to get a heads up before hand.
Hello dear,
The symptoms mentioned by you suggest that you might be having infection of the Urogenital tract.
The pain in groin region can be due to inflamed lymph nodes.
The treatment involves:
1. Drinking lots of water (it dilutes the urine & reduces the discomfort)
2. Antibiotics depending on culture & sensitivity report.
3. If there is associated fever, then paracetamol 500 mg three times in a day can be added.
So, it will be better to consult an Urologist & start the treatment.
One more thing...avoid acidic foods, carbonated drinks and alcohol...& maintain good hygiene.
There is no need to worry...you will perfectly alright after taking the course of antibiotics.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Thanks & take care.
Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
during hot season due to having more perspiration, quantity of urine will be less so color of concentrated urine is naturally dark.
So nothing to worry.
Take plenty of water, electrolytes, fresh fruit juices and lemon juice.
Avoid to go out during noon session.
Masturbation has nothing to do with dark urine.
Ok and bye.
Test the urine - it may simply be concentrated? / blood? / rarely only haemoglobin, porphyrins...
See an Urologist - an ultrasound may be necessary
In the mean time avoid spicy and non-vegetarian food - this will reduce sulphites and acidity...
Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
