What Causes Left Sided Groin Pain After Hysterectomy?

I am 49 years old and had a hysterectomy with all but left ovary removed. I am having moderate left sided groin pain and left flank pain. No frequency in urination, burning or pain with urination. My groin pain tends to worsen at night if I M sitting. I have pain if I cough or take a deep breath. What should I do?

Hello,

The pain could be inflammation in the ovary or there is a possibility of left-sided kidney stone. So get an abdominal ultrasonography done. That should help in diagnosing the condition.

In the meantime, you can take antispasmodics-containing Dicyclomine hydrochloride alone or with Acetaminophen to control pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
