Had CABG Surgery, Infection. Lump Under Skin In Incision Area, Cold, Cough. What Is Causing Infection?

I had CABG surgery in Jan/12 and had 2 infections (possiblly due to Diabetes ), but 4 days ago I noticed a largeish lump under the skin in the incision area. I do have a cold and did considerable coughing. Could that have caused something to become infected? I will try to contact my surgeon tomorrow. I am in some pain right now. Please help.

A largish lump under the incision line seems to be a pocket of pus and ,if it is so,it will need a surgical drainage.
The repeated infections indicate poorly controlled diabetes.
You must make all efforts to keep your sugar levels in control to avoid future complications.
You already had a CABG,which makes all the important for you to keep your sugar,lipid and blood pressure in tight leash.
Your cold has no connection with this lump.
Take ibuprofen 600 mg for pain whenever required.
Consult your surgeon as early as possible.
