Hi Thanks for using HCM.

I want to know if it is ok to do yoga as I have started doing a few rounds of suryanamaskar.. do I need to stop?
For the pain you can continue yoga without any proble but dont do strenous exercises.

What should I do for pain?
Along with regular exercises, take plenty of fluids and NSAIDs like Paracetamol or aceclofenac tablets when ever necessary if not allergic to it. This will relieve your pain.
Hope I answered all youe queries. Wish you good health.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement Dr. K. Naga Ravi Prasad's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.
Its not uncommon to have generalised joint pains after some systemic illnesses or fevers. This is called as "Reactive arthralgia". Generally, this is self limiting and should not trouble you much.
Just take some analgesic antiinflammatory medications and apply local analgesic gels. If the symptoms still persists, consult an orthosurgeon and follow his advice.
You can do yoga as long as those movement will not put additional strain on the involved joints which causes more pain. Hope this helps
