hi i have had stephen johnson diesese when i was 3 years old i am 48 and have blood and mucus in my stools i am waiting to go to hospital for tests but the doctor has prescribed me ciprofloxacin tablets for 7 days will it cause a problems with what i had when i was 3 they thaught asprin braught on my skin peeling off then but was not sure what caused it
Aspirin is from a different drug group as compared to ciprofloxacin. So, its use seems to be harmless unless you might feel that skin-peeling sensation again.
Blood and mucus in stool suggest fecal infection, for which coproculture, examination of feces for ova/stool and other ultrasound exams are needed.
