Had TURP. Took Flomax, Pms-finasteride. Is There A Drug Store Remedy For Retention Of Urine?
I have recently had a T.U.R.P. 5 weeks ago all adverse symptoms have practically disappeared but the retention of urine is impossible, is there a drug store remedy . Prior to surgery I was taking Flomax and PMS-FINASTERIDE without great success. I am 81 years old am I stuck with this? After surgery I had 14 trips to the toilet it has slowed to 3-4. at night . I do have a appointment with my urologist on the 7 of Nov.

Urinary incontinence after TURP occurs if external urinary sphincter is damaged during surgery, which is a complication of this surgery. there are treatment options available like behavioral therapy, muscle strengthening exercise, medications.. You can discuss with your urologist regarding this. There is also possibility of UTI resulting increased frequency, Get urine test done to rule out this.
