Had A Caesar. Have Severe Constipation. Painful Passing Tools. Tried Mild Laxatives, Water. Am Breast Feeding. Are The Findings In Normal Range?
Hi. I had a caesar 5 weeks ago and since then have had severe constipation and extreme pain when attempting to pass a stool. It s a pain that seems to shoot up from where the stool came and makes it too painful to pass the stool in some instances. I have tried mild laxatives, a healthy diet, fibre and plenty of water. I am also breast feeding so I have tried to have additional water. Is this normal?
It is normal after pregnancy. You could be suffering from fissure in ano which is very painful condition ans causes constipation. You can try something called sitz bath( sitting on lukewarm water) 10 mins twice day and also Shield cream for local application twice a day and some stool softner to continue. This should help you in a week's time.
