Had A Flu Shot. Had Serious Vertigo Coming On. Had A Mental Confusion, Massive Headache Feels Like Sinus. Side Effects?
I had a flu shot yesterday about 1 PM. By 5:30 PM I had serious vertigo coming on and had to go to bed and await Dramamine via my son s delivery. Is Vertigo a side affect of the flu shot or just coincidence? I also had marked mental confusion and now that the vertigo is under control I have a massive headache feels like sinus area.
A flu shot can cause these symptoms if you are allergic to it but the symptoms of mental confusion and vertigo are alarming. Here are my suggestions
1. Please seek help from the ER immediately, get yourself examined. You will need an MRI brain and also blood tests like Complete blood count, sugar and electrolytes 2. Betahistadine tablets will help for the vertigo and tab naproxen will help for the headache. 3. Avoid driving, swimming and heights until you are better
I wish you good health and a speedy recovery
I hope I was of help
Regards
