Had Abnormal Bleeding During Periods And Intercourse. What Could It Be?

I got what I thought was my period 10 days late, it lasted for about 5 days and was all really dark thick blood. My husband and I had sex 2 days after it ended and in the middle of intercourse we had to stop because I had a ton of bright red blood, since then I have been having really dark brown, really thick blood/discharge. Any idea of what could be happening? We are concerned that it is an early miscarriage.

Hi, thank you for writing to HCM. I have gone through your query and understood your concerns. Apart from pregnancy, other causes of contact bleeding could be from infectious (cervicitis or vaginitis), growths on the cervix or in the womb (polyps) or tumoral lesions on the cervix. In my opinion, I think you should do a home pregnancy test and then consult a gynecologist for proper assessment.
I hope I have answered your query
I wish you good health
