Had Dizzy Spell And BP Went High. Was Given Fluids And Pressure Went Down. Having Headaches Since Then
2 weeks ago, I was in the heat coaching. I am 44 year old male. I yelled out directions to a player and saw little stars floating in my vision and got dizzy. I went into an ac room and drank fluids. After still feeling bad, paramedics came and took my blood pressure. It was 175/115 then 10 minutes later it was 196/124. They took me to the hospital and gave me fluids. My pressure went down. I have since been to the dr. Blood tests came back normal. Blood pressure normal. Went to heart dr and did stress test. All fine. My problem is I have been having head aches on the left side of my head since the episode. Any idea?
you might be having migraine , try to fing triggers check your BP that time , normal? if bp fluctuating you can consider 24Hrs ambulatory BP monitoring. 196/124 was too high, if you BP was so high for sometime , as you might have come to know during this episode for the first time., get a Fundoscopy done. if BP not getting in control even with medication, look for secondary hypertension.
