Had Ear Infection, Cured, Still Problem Persists. Permanent Cure?
Hello Dr. I have had ear infection and now it is cured. But the left ear still continue with problems. The are inside the ear becomes very stiff and the left portion of my mouth is difficult to close. The left portion of my face is not comfortable. Dr. had told me I ma having TMJ but even after lot of medications nothing improved. My left ear joint becomes too much stiff and I am having difficulty.
Hello, Thanks for posting your query. The ear infection and difficulty to close mouth may be due to- TMJ dislocation. Pericoronitis of impacted wisdom tooth. I would advice you to visit a dentist and get your mouth as well as TMJ checked. Impacted wisdom tooth has to be extracted or flap overlying tooth has to be removed. If TMJ is dislocated,it has to be immobilized and splinting has to be done. If problem still exists, please do visit an ENT specialist too. Take care.
