Had Earache. Did Syringing In Ear. Cannot Hear Properly. Did Tympaniplasty. No Change. What To Do?

hello sir,iam 27yrs had an earache long back...in 2005 ,doctr did sum syringing in ear..and gave me sum painkillers..after that pain reduced,but some discharge was there..after that i started loosing my hearing capacity...now 2013wen i consult the doctr he said i should do tympaniplasty...i did the surgery in july28,doc said surgery was succesful,but again i cant hear properly...its same as before...im very disappointed with it...i guess the surgery was not done gud...w

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.

First you need to know weather reduced hearing is due to sensory or conductive type of hearing loss by getting audiometry test done. By looking at audiometry result we can differentiate weather its due to tympanic membrane or hearing bones(ossicles) defect.

Further actions can be taken depending on report.

Consult ENT specialist for examination and management.
