Had Ectopic Pregnancy, Tube Removed. Had Miscarriage. Took Clomid. Missed Periods, Nausea

Hi, I m really confused with my recent health issue since I ve never had this happen before. I m 42 I had an ectopic pregnancy 4 yrs ago and my left tube was removed. I ve always had a normal period and right on every 26 days with mild or no cramps at all. 5 months ago we decided to try and have a baby since we don t have any children at all. We tried naturally and had one chemical and one miscarriage. Dr. put me on 100mg of Clomid I was ovulating from both sides. The ultrasound showed ovarian cysts and a small growth in the cervix area but blood test showed a negative pregnancy result. I did start my period on day 29 I was 3 days late but I have been having all the pregnancy symptoms such as; nausea, tiredness, well everything except tender breast. Period lasted longer this time and 2nd day after it was over I started spotting brown and has now been going on for 3 days followed by painful cramps throughout the entire day and night. Is this normal??? I am scheduled for a sonohysteogram on Monday. Thank you for your time, Confused

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
As your blood test for pregnancy showed negative result, there is less possibility for pregnancy.
Alteration in the menstrual cycle can occur due to many causes.
As your menstrual cycle is little bit longer this time, that may be responsible for excessive flow due to increased thickness of endometrium.
If you still have doubt regarding pregnancy, repeat the blood test.
Prefer quantitative blood test.

If the test comes negative, the possibility of pregnancy is very less.
And you can go for Sonohysterosalpingogram as scheduled.
Possibly this will help in improving the chances of fertility.
Take care.
