Hello,
Let me tell you that a given medical symptom can be due to variouws causes and the basic aim of the treating physician is to establish the exact diagnosis and deal it accordingly. Headache can be due to various causes like brain infection, tumor, problems in the blood vessels of the brain and so on. I have noted your symptoms. One possibilty of meningitis cannot be excluded. The best thing which should be done in this condition is to get examined by a local neurologist who will examine you and note the neurological deficit, if present. This will tell us if you need a brain scan or not. The test which will rule out he diagnosis of meningitis/brain infection is a spinal tap and analysis of cerebro-spinal fluid. The analysis of the fluid will tell us the exact nature of infection, if any and we will be able to know the exact treatment that will help you.
Hope this clarifies
