Had Hysterectomy, Menopause, Lots Of Hot Flashes, Taking Premarin. Would Estradiol Work For Me?
I ve had a hysterectomy 11 yrs ago. I am 60 yrs old and going through menopause. Lots of hot flashes. Sweat profusely. Currently take Premarin which costs me $60 with my insurance. I notice Estradiol is on the $4 list. Would Estradiol work for me? Thank you. Donna

Estrogen cqn cause lot of side effects if not titrated in proper doses it might happen. The common side effects are like
1. Hot flashes
2. Sweating
Post hysterectomy cases in some times cause these kind of harmonal preparations might not be totally need education for a long time.
You can visit your doctor and discuss about further treating options available..
A course of calcium supplementation will correct these symptoms
