Had Intercourse, Condom Broke. Took Plan B. Got Her Periods Even Before The Date. Side Effect Of The Medicine?
My girlfriend had her last period on May 22. We had innercourse quite a few days in a row then on the 26 my condom snapped. I wasn't fully in her. Also I heard liquid hit the floor when I took the condom off. She took plan b one step less than 12 hours from the break. Today she thought she hit her period. We both that is impossible, right? I feel this is a side effect from the plan b one step, no?
Yes, emergency pill can alter the menstrual cycle depending on the period of menstrual cycle when she took the pill. So the bleeding she is having could be a side effect of the pill. Possibly this bleeding will subside soon as normal menstrual bleeding. Refer:http://srsree.blogspot.in/2012/08/emergency-contraceptive-pill-short-term.html If the bleeding persist consult gynecologist once to find out any other possibilities like post-coital tear. Better to use some regular contraceptive measures. For more details you can ask me through: http://www.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-sree-gouri-sr/63429 Take care.
