Had Intercourse, Now Vagina Is Red Along The Lips. Seen Small White, Red Bumps. Chances Of STD?

Hi
My vaginas been itchy since Saturday night I had intercourse with my partner. It's been a week.
My vagina is red inside the opening and outside along the lips and there are small white bumps as well as red ones.
I've had and sti check 2 weeks ago before my partner and I had sex results came back all clear. I'm concerned it could be an Sti now.

Hi and thanks for the query.

Every unprotected sex is a major risk factor for STI.
Because you had one, you are at risk of contracting an sti.

From your symptoms, for sure something isn't going right with your vagina. This is probably an infection in the vagina. Beside STI's, there are many other infections of the external female genitalia which are not caused by sexually transmitted germs.

To know for sure whether it is caused by a sexually transmitted germ, you need to get tested. I will suggest you meet with your doctor and plan for this so that we can identify the germ and say for sure whether it is an STI or not.

For the mean time, i will advice you not to get involved in any unprotected sex as you run the risk of infecting your loved ones if it is and STI or picking up another STI. Also, always use a protection each time you have sex, unless otherwise

Remember also that being screened for STI's in no way prevents you from contracting sti's if you don't take the necessary precautions.

Hope it helps....come back if you need more information.
Thanks and hope you get these worries resolved soon.
