Had Knee Pain, Reveals Low Calcium Levels In Test. Other Tests, Calcium Supplements?
Hi...recently I started getting slight knee pain while walking. So I did the test for calcium(coz both my mother and sister have calcium deficiency) my total calcium is 2.13mmol/L which is marked Low in the lab report. Please suggest should I start taking calcium supplements...how much and for how long. Are there any other tests that I should do?Thank you..
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The knee pain could be due to low levels of calcium or vitamin D 3. You can get the appropriate blood tests done and start with the supplements accordingly. The improvement can be seen in 4-6 weeks. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Praveen Tayal , drtayal72@gmail.com
