Hello, Welcome to health care magic. Severe hair fall after a surgery or a illness/ anaemia is called telogen effluvium. It usually starts 3-6 months after the episode of surgery or illness. in your case, you underwent the surgery just a week ago. This is unlikely to contribute to the hair loss.did you have severe bleeding during last few periods due to the fibroids. If so, you could be anaemic and that could be now manifesting as hair loss.did you have any other major illnesses in the last few months? Do you have thyroid abnormalities? It would be good if you could provide me with these details as I will be able to help you better. You could take vitamin supplements containing biotin to strengthen our hair. If you are anaemic, that needs to be corrected. Hope this helped. Take care.
