Had Light Periods. Was Just Spotting. Pregnancy Test Is Negative. Want To Get Pregnant. Chances Of Conceiving?

I have had light/short periods for the last three months. I basically was just spotting/missed my last one...I take a pregnancy test about every two weeks-a month just in case, but they're all coming out negative. I was told the dollar store ones are just as effective...true? What could all this mean? Should I be concerned? I have a serious partner and have had unprotected sex for the last six months.

Hello,
With so many consistently negative pregnancy tests, it is unlikely that you have conceived. It is more likely that you have some hormonal imbalance and if you are serious about conception, you should see a specialist and get properly evaluated. Also, a serum beta-hCG estimation would give you conclusive evidence of the presence or absence of pregnancy. You should also get a pelvic/trans-vaginal sonogram. Hope your query has been classified. Wish you good health.
