Hello,
You are right in that the absence of the period is due to the very high consumption of emergency pills. In the current scenario, you should immediately see a specialist, get properly checked and get further suggestions. You may need a hormonal evaluation and therapy to induce a withdrawal bleed. A trans-vaginal sonogram also would be needed. Please remember that the use of the emergency pill is to be restricted for only a couple of times in a year and not overused. Hope this helps.

General & Family Physician Dr. Vidya KR's  Response
Hi, Thanks for using HCM.

More than two i pill in a month is not recommended. delayed period could due to this, but pregnancy need to be ruled out first, Urine pregnancy if performed with all precautions is sensitive enough to detect pregnancy, usually 10 days after missed periods.
Blood HCG test is more sensitive to confirm or rule out pregnancy under gynecologist guidance.

Once pregnancy is ruled out, i prefer primolut N OD for 5 days for my patients with this problem. After stopping this medication bleeding should start with in 5 days.
Headache, nausea, abdominal bloating side effects seen in few women, Rarely uncontrolled bleeding may be seen.
Consult doctor for prescription of medication after examination.

Hope this helps you.
