hello doctors please help me im worried my last period is may 9-12 my bf and i had unprotected sex on 26 wich is 18th day of my cycle but i took 5 nordette pills 3 hours after we had sex then another 5 after 12 hours its been 15 days and i havent got my period yet im not prepared for a babay what can i do to prevent pregnancy?
Hi, Thanks for your question. Although Nordette is not meant to be used for emergency contraception you used it in a sufficient amount. These hormonal pills may effect the timing of your menstrual bleeding & are not effective in 100% of cases. So, you may or may not be pregnant. You can relieve your doubts by doing a home pregnancy test. If this is negative you may just wait & see for some time. If you came out to be pregnant you may discuss the option of medical termination of pregnancy with your local gynaecologist. Regards.
