Had Pelvic Floor Surgery. Unable To Take The Penis Inside. Feels Obstructed. Reason?
Pain after pelvic floor surgery I had anterior and postier repair And I'm now 4mths post op My partner cannot get his penis in me If feels obstructed and hard I dissolved stitches My nurse Practioner said I will need this straightening out and I will have to go down to theatre Has the surgeon messed this up And what will they do
Hi, Thanks for the query. Sometimes during repair of anterior and posterior vaginal walls, the lumen can become little bit narrow. I mild cases using lubricants during intercourse can help. And possibly with progress of time, the lumen can become normal. In case of excessive narrowing of the lumen, gradual dilatation with artificial dilators may need. So, consult your gynecologist once and get examined. If during examination two lubricated fingers can be passed through vagina, that can be considered as normal. If not, depending on the extent of narrowing further management should be planned. Take care.
