Had Prostatitis, Having Sore Testicles, Achy Thighs. Diagnosed As Epididymitis. Taking Antibiotics. Could It Be Prostatitis?
hi im a 40 year old male with prostatitis had it for years but recently have being haven a sore right testicle and aching right buttock /upper thigh . saw my doctor 3 weeks ago he thought epididyitis , he couldnt feel any lumps and gave me 7 day course antibiotics it s still there, i have a physical job i think groin strain with mauling ? going doctors again next week just wondered can a groin pull give symptons like this and could it be the prostatitis
Hello Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have pain in Rt testicle and pulling sensation in the groin. This could be either due to Inguinal Hernia or infection of the epididymis or testis. Please consult qualified urologist for clinical examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis. 1) Urine routine and culture 2) Ultrasound scanning of the abdomen . 3) Semen culture to rule out prostatitis. Further treatment will be decided by him and will depend upon clinical examination , results of the tests and final diagnosis.
