Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Since this incident took place 10 month back as you stated in your query.
Let me explain that no doubt there was swelling in your vulva , so that swelling was due to rough sex ,in my opinion, however may be due to infection.
2nd thing you mentioned that there was infection in the chest , but what type of the infection , please mention as this infection was evident in lungs ( X ray).
Pain in the throat was , not doubt due to infection and this was coincidence that you developed pain and infection in throat and sex .
So this throat infection reached in the lungs and infected them also.
Later on after 3 months it proved that your were H I V FREE so that was a good news.
Last month you developed cough and still feeling tiredness .
In my opinion may be due to ,
1 Tuberculosis , can be confirmed by X ray chest and consult pulmonologist and get his opinion and treatment as this disease is not related to sex incident .
Get in blood for C B C , E S R ( if very high may be due to tuberculosis i.e. >80 mm of Hg.).
2 may be anemia
3 Simultaneously also consult a psychiatrist and get his opinion.
Good luck for your health.

Hello dear,

First of all, HIV can not be diagnosed only on the basis of certain symptoms.
The clinical features as mentioned in your post can also be due to common cold/ respiratory tract infection.

However, if you are concerned, you can get certain tests done like p24 assay or PCR for HIV, which becomes positive within a week and are almost 100 % sensitive.
Even the presence of a single virus in the body can be detected by PCR.
So, if this test comes negative, you can be sure that you are safe.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
