Had Removed A Cyst On Scalp Through Incision. Have Acne On Scalp And Inflammation. Suggest Remedies?

I removed a cyst that was on my scalp about a week ago. It was there for over twenty years but was oozing and looked ready to extract easily. I took the liberty of making a small incision draining it and was able to remove the entire sac through the incision. There was not much blood and I used alcohol to help prevent infection. Since then I have been suffering from a really bad case of acne that moved to my scalp. The scalp is inflamed and I have random scabs all over as well as oozing bumps on the back of my hairline. My insurance does not go into effect for four more days. I have been using tee tree oil, (which over dries) and OTC remedies but nothing seems to "cure". Do you think this is serious enough to go to the doctor beforehand or should I try something else first and wait it out?
