Had Retinal Detachment In Right Eye. Having Cataract, Blurred Vision In Left. Can-C Drops Can Be Used?
Hello,
I have a question about an eye drop that claims to remove Cataract. It is called Can-C and more on it is on WWW.WWWW.WW and it says it has N-Acetyl-Carnosine of 1%.
I have had a retinal detachment in my right eye before and had the surgeries and now my left eye has Catract. This is my good eye and the blury vision is annoying me. Dr's say I need to wait for surgery. Can this drop help me?
Hello user, The chemical N-acetyl carnosine is having some cataract dissolving property in early form of cataract as its active metabolite Carnosine acts as acts as an antioxidant and against glycation in diabetics.
I have not found any documentation which says that the drug is better than surgery, but for the mean time when you are waiting for surgery, you can use that drug with prior consultation from your ophthalmologist.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Regards, Dr Hari Om Chandrakar MBBS
