Had Segmental Resection Of Colon, Ulcerative Colitis, Pancreatic Cancer. Why Is There Bowel Movement Issue?
My spouse had a segmental resection of the colon due to Ulcerative Colitis 40 years ago. 2 years ago he was diagnosed with Pancreatic CA and had a successful Whipple Procedure performed. He had no chemo or radiation follow up and remains CA free at this time. My concern is that he only gets a few hours (sometimes as little as 2.5 hours) of sleep every night because of liquid bowel movements. I am concerned for his overall health, especially his mental health because of his lack of sleep. He eats dinner early - 5:30 to 6 PM, but nothing seems to help. Do you have any suggestions?
the reason for the increased bowel habits is shortening of bowel lenght due resection during whipples procedure what i would suggest is to use tab.XXXX when you feel reaaly bad but dont use it on regural basis...
thank you
regards
