Had Severe Bloating, Diarrhea, Constipation. On Stool Softneres & Senekot. Swelling Across The Bladder. Treatment?

For 4 mths now or longer, I have had severe bloating, alternate diareah, constipation! After constipation/ diareah, period of about two to three days of relieve, although blaoting never totally goes away! I am on stool softeners and senekot waiting for a colonostomy! Lower left abdomom. swelling across to bladder are lots of pressure! Seems to cycle! Also pressure in lower back! Seriously intruding my life!

hi,
your symptoms go in favour of Amoebiasis. Stool examination should be confirmatory.
when dignosis is Amoebiasis-
I usually advice Metranidazol preparation dose depending on age &body wt. of patient.Norfloxasins added if there secondary infection. Antacids like Alum. hydroxid with antiflatulents (simethicone)-are helpful. digestive enzyme preparations are added to compleate the list. stool softeners are to be continued till the releif.
the courseis to be repeated 3-4 times with a break of a week .
You also need to have easy to digest , nonspicy ,boiled food.
Drink bioled water
Avoid exertion,do light exercizes.
