I am 47 and usually my periods are normal, but this month it was short and I stared having pain in my lower left side and just recently notice a beige discharge and today the discharge is heavy. Not really a smell saw a little blood early very light in discharge.I know my body very well and this is out of the norm for me.

Hi,
It seems that you might be having some infection in your genital tract giving profuse discharge with pain in lower abdomen.
As you are 47 years, having any problem you should not neglect.
Consult your Gynaec and get examined.
Ultra sound and vaginal smear test will give the exact diagnosis.
Ok and take care.
