Had Spotting For A Day. Expecting Pregnancy. Pregnancy Test Negative. Reason?
Trying to find out if I am pregnant or not. I had an irregular period Nov 19, 2012. It was short. Then on Dec 19, 2012 just spotted for a day and a half but no flow. I have taken several pregnancy test and they all are negative. If I was I would be 5 weeks and 6 days. Can you give me some reasons why its not showing up?
Hi, If you have always had a regular period, this is cause for concern. As urine pregnancy tests are negative, chances of pregnancy are less likely. Yet, one blood test for definite exclusion is a must; a trans-vaginal sonogram is an additional benefit. Once pregnancy is excluded, you should test for the possibility of hormonal disturbances; such can occur when there is any stress, infection, sudden weight changes or use of some medications. You should see a specialist for further management. Hope this helps.
