I am a 19 year old female. I have what many doctors have diagnosed as a Bartholin gland abscess. However, my Bartholin gland was removed in May. This is my 6th very painful, very large lump in my labia majora in 18 months. They have become more painful and frequent since the surgery. It feels much better after drainage. However, I am running a fever that has gone from 99.4 to 100.2 in the past hour. I started an antibiotic (Levaquin) that was a refill from a previous doctor. The antibiotics have never helped, however. I ache all of the time and am very sensitive to heat. I feel like this is a major problem that is not just related to an "abscess." These things gt so large that, within 48 hours, my skin will begin to tear on the outside of my labia. These lumps feel like a glass bulb underneath the skin, are EXTREMELY painful (I can't even feed myself after about 48 hours), and emotionally draining. Are there any other options beside this being a Bartholin gland abscess? The lumps are very very low in the labia majora, as low as possible, and will hang extremely low. They can be felt from inside the vagina, but stick out of me more towards the outside of my body.
