Had The Right Patella Dislocated And Was Fully Recovered, Now Wearing A Soft Knee Brace During Baseball. Is This Enough For Ski Also?
Hi Im a 17 year old elite baseball player(male) who has had a dislocation of the right patella, I have recovered completely but now wear a soft knee brace with a patella stabilizer when playing baseball( injured it batting). I want to do some skiing on the break and because I am a ex ski racer for Canada and ski at a extremely high level do i need to invest in a hinged metal knee brace or is the one im currently using fine?
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The soft knee brace that you are using is enough to give support to the healed patella. You can use this during skiing also. Do wear a knee guard also for better protection. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Praveen Tayal , drtayal72@gmail.com
