Had To Take A Saliva Pre-employment Test. The Stick Is
Had to take a saliva pre-employment test.
The stick is supposed to turn blue when enough saliva is obtained, or 10 minutes had passed.
I had to do the test twice.
First time the stick turned blue before 10 minutes,so according to the kit instructions, the manager took the stick and put it in the tube and sent it off to the lab.
2 days later I get called and told to come back because they need to re-test.
This time, The manager at the store set a timer and waited the full 10 minutes. He then took the swab stick and put it into the tube, sealed it and FedEx to the lab.
The stick indicator turned blue, but also started to turn pink closer to the handle side of the stick.
My questions are what would be reason for re-test, and why would the swab stick also start turning pink way on the opposite side that does not get sent off?
