Had Tooth Pulled. Gums Painful, Foul Smell, Yellow Fluid Dripping. What Is Going On?
I have prisher on the left side of my face. It started out where my gums were hurting where i had my teeth pulled two years ago. Then is was getting this rotten egg smell or solfa smell in my nose .. i will be setting here and my nose starts dripping this light yellow water fluid. My face is swollen around my eye and if i bend ove the presher feels like it is more from my mouth than my sinuses. I dont have bad breath like you would if you had a bad tooth so im confused.
i think its a problem with ur sinus , it may be because of only simple sinusitis, or a traumatic extraction leading to a fistula or u may have a tooth fragment in ur sinus, or may be just another infected tooth, i would advise you to get an opg x ray done

Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
The first step is to discuss the problem with your dentist. Your halitosis could be caused by bacterial plaque on your tongue, sinus problems, stomach issues, or as a reaction to certain medications. Also, make sure to floss every day to be sure no food particles remain in your mouth, which could also cause bad breath.
Maintain good oral hygiene.
I hope this is helpful to you.
Wishing you good health...
Regards.
Dr Saurabh Gupta.
Hi,
Thank you for the query.
Swelling of the face around the eye suggests of presence of infection which could be due to sinusitis or any foreign body in the nose or nasopharyngeal tumors if eroded may present with yellow fluid oozing out of nose with rotten egg smell.
It could not be connected with the extracted teeth so, i suggests you to see an ENT to rule out the exact cause for the it.
Maintain proper oral hygiene .
Hope this information helps you.
hello & welcome
according to your symptoms you are presenting here this may be a sinus infection, if the extracted tooth was upper one.
a communication between sinus & oral cavity known as oroantral fistula may found on clinical examination.
so i will advise you not to delay & visit to your dentist specially maxillofacial surgeon for further clinical & radiographical examination.
thanks & take care.
