Had Total Hysterectomy Done. Have Dry Skin And Red Burning Patches On Face. On BIHRT. Cause?
I am 4 weeks out after total hysterectomy and have very dry skin, dry red burning patches on my face and the rest of the body is dry even after using gold bond lotion. I don't drink pop and drink lots of water a day. I am on BIHRT 10 days now. Can you guess what is causing this, and what can I do for it. I wonder if I should call the doctor or the pharmacist. Thank you, Shirley Drouhard
Hi, Shirley drouhard, the symptoms you are facing are due to sudden cesation of oestrogen from the system, due to total hysterectomy, means removal of both the ovaries due to medical reasons. Now the harmone is to be supplimented by tablets, injections or insertion of patches. Thank you.
